The crochet pattern of Kimono Suze, it took a while, but with result!
The Kimono style
A Kimono that can be worn not only sturdy and boho, but also elegant, stylish and chic on a pair of pants with heels. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile this kimono turned out. I had it in mind for a summer day on a short pants, but by the many interim fit on various outfits I realized that this Kimono is much more than that. I see opportunities not only for the summer, but also for the cooler autumn days ;-)!
One size fits all?
The design is one that is easy to crochet. Once you have repeated the pattern of the inner lining, you can crochet without even checking your pattern. Without complicated turns, decreases and increases. The Kimono can be worn oversized, but also more tailored. By letting several ladies try it on, the image of ‘one size fits all’ quickly emerged (this in agreement with the ladies themselves ;-)). In the pattern a division is made for a version XS-S and a version M-L-XL. The pattern can easily be adapted to a shorter model as well.
If you prefer the complete package including all necessary yarn and pattern, you can find the XS-S package here and M-L-XL package here. And by the way, I’m 1.73m tall and wear a size M. This gives you an indication of how it fits.
The pattern
The patterns is written in English in US terms. Finally, it’s good to know that this is an extensive pattern with a written description, crochet diagrams and lots of detailed pictures. It’s certainly not a difficult pattern, at most you’ll need some practice on the stitches of the inside part (the part with the ‘design’), but that will be learned very soon. After purchase you will receive a link (unfortunately not clickable, so copy to your browser) in your payment confirmation for crocheting the stitch used and the matching cord.
The example is crocheted with color 52 (soft beige/ochre)
